Nearform is nothing without our wonderful Nearformers. From flexible remote working to a range of mental, physical and financial health initiatives, we look to support Nearformers inside and out, so that they can thrive at work and beyond.

Work the way you need

We believe in the importance of a healthy life/work balance. Our flexible, remote-first culture allows Nearformers to work around what matters to them, whether that’s friends, family, hobbies or training, and prioritise their wellbeing. We also give employees the chance to take their work on the road with them, as Nearformers can spend up to three months working from anywhere in the world.

No matter where they’re working from, we want to ensure Nearformers are set up for success. Every new team member takes part in a workstation assessment, to receive guidance on how to set up their workplace for optimal ergonomics. We also provide a bi-annual remote working support budget to help individuals create a comfortable workspace that suits their individual needs. This budget can also be applied towards the cost of a co-working space, meaning Nearformers can work from wherever they work best.

Our duty of care

We understand our duty as employers to support our staff, and have a genuine commitment to taking care of Nearformers’ health and mental wellbeing. Every employee has access to the Nearform Advice Line, a confidential resource designed to provide support and guidance to help navigate personal or work related challenges. We also have a team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available to support Nearformers whenever they need it.

Nearformers also have access to our Health and Wellbeing Hub, an online portal filled with helpful resources covering a wide range of wellbeing topics. This runs alongside an annual programme of wellbeing-themed events, which includes quarterly newsletters, training sessions and company-wide challenges to educate and motivate our team.

Fostering team growth
and connection

Another important part of the Nearform experience is our diverse range of interest communities, designed to foster a strong sense of belonging. These communities cover various technologies, sports, hobbies, and even the wonderful world of Nearformers’ pets, helping our people to connect on a personal level, chat and share stories.

To help Nearformers develop new skills to progress in their careers, we have a robust training programme which includes live sessions and self-guided modules, open to employees across a wide variety of  disciplines. We also provide individual learning and development budgets to empower employees to take their training one step further by taking externally-accredited courses, attending industry conferences and more.
