Creating an inclusive future

Informed by our IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility) working group, we have taken meaningful steps for positive change to ensure our ways of working reflect our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and to inform how we attract and retain our people.

Raising awareness,
becoming allies

We’re an international bunch. Spread across more than 25 countries and with speakers of more than 20 languages, inclusivity, awareness and allyship are paramount.

Our first step on our diversity journey was the rollout of inclusion training courses, meticulously crafted to address topics like Unconscious Bias and Practising Allyship. These courses were designed to enlighten employees and cultivate a culture that embraces diversity, all in harmony with our IDEA mission statement.

From these foundations, we established a global IDEA calendar to foster awareness around annually recognised areas such as Pride and womens’ health. From hosting speakers to competitions, we mark these global occasions with the goal of engaging and nurturing empathy among employees.

Nurturing inclusivity
and growth

This is also where our social and action-oriented communities come in. Our Women’s Guild, for example, provides a valuable forum for exchange and action on women’s topics, including fireside chats with inspiring external guest speakers, an educational resource hub, and a book club. Our numerous interest groups – from sports to LGBTQ+ topics to languages and more – provide a safe space for our Nearformers to express and develop themselves while at work.

Aligned with our core values, we developed a DEI policy aimed at supporting the growth and development of all employees. This policy is intended to foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. And we’re just getting started.
