EY needed to deliver its consultancy expertise without a heavily customised offering, but via a self-service online platform that didn’t need human intervention.
The Software Engineering team at Condé Nast International (CNI) knew it needed an automated way to migrate the vast quantities of content, and it developed a tool to do just that, recognizing that no off-the-shelf tool could cope with the disparate set of content it was facing, spanning multiple territories, languages and content types. But to meet its hard three-month deadline of migrating the first territory, Germany, CNI also saw the need for additional resources who were experienced in key technologies, including Node.js and React, so it selected NearForm.

Due to a significant increase in demand for its services, the company’s existing platform began to show strain. The 15-year-old legacy system, based on Domino Lotus Notes, simply could not cope with the pressure of i-Sight’s expanding portfolio. The company needed to migrate to a new system, one that would deliver powerful performance and responsive design at scale but also guarantee tight access controls to protect sensitive client data.
