nearForm had a great, visible presence at the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) open day on December 9, 2014.

nearForm employees and WIT alumni Sonya Hogan and David Cahill represented the company.

The star attraction of the day was definitely the “Nodecopter” drones at the nearForm stand. Attendees attempted to control the drones using their mobile phones – with varying degrees of success!

The drones are radio controlled flying quadcopters. Few attendees could resist the challenge of getting them into the air and controlling their flight path.

The open day was a great success for nearForm and a great opportunity to represent the company to future graduates and potential future nearFormers. Thanks to Eamonn de Leastar of the Telecommunication Software and Systems Group (TSSG) and WIT for inviting us!
